GROUP BOOKING HINTS:
Don't lose commission on your hard work because you do not have these points covered:
1. ALWAYS have a signed contract with your group.
2. Have a minimum number of passengers in the contract for the whole group and per room. If the number falls below the minimum a penalty, an increased cost or fee per passenger will apply.
3. Have deadlines in the contract that are EARLIER than real deadlines. Make sure there is a penalty clause if the deadline is missed.
4. Group contract should make ONE PARTY responsible for everything, stating that this party will inform everyone else of the conditions. Have that one party collect all the checks and pay you with their check. If people pay separately or by credit card then each person needs to sign a contract.
Amendments to Independent Agents contract
We have added many amendments to our independent agent contract over the years. Some of you that have old contracts need to be aware of these new additions. Here are several major changes:
1. Commissions need to be claimed within 6 months of travel, otherwise they are forfeited.
2. Agents producing more than $5,000 in commission yearly have their annual fees waived.
3. All state seller of travel laws have to be followed. It is the agent's responsibility to make sure that all laws within the state you are in are obeyed.
4. We will assume that consultants who do not produce sales within 6 months of joining are not interested and we will drop them.
