We receive many questions daily and will share some of the answers here with you.
A frequent question that we get is: Is there a special cruise program for non-profit organizations?
ANSWER: Yes, cruise lines such as Carnival, will match up to $25 per cabin for an IRS approved organization.
You need to contact the cruise line non-profit department or E-mail us for the name of the regional manager.
You then reserve group space and have the non-profit leader sell the space to his or her group at $25 higher. So what happens is that actually the non profit receives $50 per cabin...$25 from the markup and $25 matching funds from the cruise line.
Ideally you just create the flier and then have the influential person in the con-profit promote the non-profit cruise. Tell them that if they get 16 cabins they get to go for free, except for taxes and port charges. Then watch them do all the sales and you just book it.
You also arrange for space during the cruise to have a meeting, to have a ceremony or whatever the non-profit wants to put together. Cruise lines will not charge you for the space in many cases if you have a nice group. Some non-profits bring lecturers, bands, preachers or whatever activity promotes the theme of the non-profit.
